At A Fine Pair of Shoes, we’ve always sought out makers who combine craftsmanship with character, brands with soul, substance, and a story to tell. That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Goral to our growing stable of shoemakers.

Hailing from Sheffield, Goral is a fourth-generation, family-run manufacturer known for producing premium sneakers and boots with a true dedication to slow, honest craftsmanship. Their philosophy aligns perfectly with ours: quality over quantity, timelessness over trends.

To mark the start of our partnership, we’re launching three exclusive special make-ups, each one a refined twist on Goral’s signature silhouettes:

1. Roma GAT Trainer, Hairy Dark Brown Suede with Lactae Hevea Sole

The classic German Army Trainer gets an elevated makeover. Dressed in rich, hairy dark brown suede, this pair rides on Lactae Hevea soles handmade in France by Reltex, the original creators of this natural rubber sole. Crafted from 100% natural latex and cured over 12 days, the result is a sole with incredible comfort: soft, supportive, and naturally durable. 2. Mellor, Dark Brown Horween Leather with Gum Cup Sole

Simplicity, substance, and that unmistakable Horween depth of character. This low-profile sneaker is made from dark brown Horween Chromexcel leather, known for its rich pull-up and buttery finish. Sitting on a classic gum rubber cup sole, it’s understated yet undeniably premium, ideal for everyday wear with just about anything.

3. Smugs Boot, Wheatbuck CF Stead Waxy Commander

A rugged boot with urban versatility. This version of the Smugs Boot is built from Wheatbuck Waxy Commander suede by CF Stead, one of the UK’s most respected tanneries.
